The Best-Selling New Cars of 2015

Ford F-150 pickup truck - the #1 Seller of 2015

February 2, 2016 - New car sales numbers are in for 2015 - with over 17 million vehicles sold in the U.S. The year's top ten best-selling models include six manufacturers - Ford, Chevy, Dodge Ram, Honda, Toyota and Nissan.

These models have many things in common-- The three most popular vehicles are actually pickup trucks, staples for the consumer who combines their heavy-duty work with everyday family needs. Five are inexpensive sedans and coupes that offer passengers comfort, as well as economic fuel efficiency. Seven of the top-selling models are from Japanese manufacturers. All of the cars on the list have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) starting below $30,000-- six of them affordably under $25,000.
